Apps That Help Your
Shopify Store Grow

Two apps so far, each built for one job and documented properly. Below: how we build them, who they suit, who they don't, and what happens to your data if you ever uninstall.

Two Apps, One Set of Rules

Both apps follow the same three rules. Nobody at Shopify makes us do this. It's just how we think apps should work.

First, your data goes in Shopify's own fields wherever it can. Arvo writes personalization answers onto the order as line-item properties. RankPilot writes meta tags into the product's built-in SEO fields. Neither app parks your data in a database you have to trust separately and can't get at.

Second, nothing touches your theme code. Both apps arrive on the storefront as a theme app block that you place once in the theme editor. A theme update doesn't break either of them, which is not the case for most of the copy-this-snippet-into-product-liquid approaches.

Third, the free plan does real work. 25 products with full personalization forms on Arvo. A 50 product audit with real generated suggestions on RankPilot. Not a countdown timer with the useful parts greyed out.

Our Shopify Apps

Two, both live on the Shopify App Store, both with a free plan you can judge them on.

Who This Is For, and Who It Isn't

These are apps for small and mid sized stores where nobody has a developer on call. A jeweller who needs an engraving form on forty products. A shop with three hundred items whose meta tags have never been written because there has never been an afternoon spare for it. If that's roughly your situation, both apps are built for you and the free plans will tell you fairly quickly whether they help.

They're a poor fit at the other end. If you're running thousands of near identical SKUs and want one configuration to govern the lot, Arvo will frustrate you, because it builds one form per product. If your SEO problem is really backlinks, site structure or a content plan, RankPilot won't touch any of that. Both pages say so in their own words, in a section headed what it doesn't do, rather than leaving you to discover it after installing.

The two aren't a bundle and there's no discount for taking both. They do tend to land on the same kind of store though. Selling personalized products means a catalog that grows sideways: new options, new variants, new listings, all of them shipping with whatever meta title Shopify defaulted to. That's the catalog RankPilot was written for. Take one, take both, take neither.

What You Keep If You Uninstall

The question worth asking before you install anything, not after.

Plenty of Shopify apps hold your data hostage by accident. They store the important part on their own servers and render it back to your storefront through a script, so the day you uninstall, years of work vanishes from your site. It's rarely malicious. It's just easier to build that way.

Here's where both of ours stand, plainly. Every personalization answer Arvo collects is written onto the order as a line-item property at checkout. That's Shopify's own field on Shopify's own order record. Uninstall Arvo tomorrow and every order you've ever taken still shows what the customer asked for, because the data was never ours to take away. The forms stop rendering. The order history doesn't move.

RankPilot splits two ways, and it's worth knowing which is which. Meta titles and descriptions you apply are written straight into Shopify's built-in SEO fields on the product, so they stay put after the app is gone. Schema markup is different, because it renders through a theme block, and Shopify switches an app's blocks off when you remove the app. So your tags survive an uninstall and your structured data doesn't.

Neither of those is a selling point exactly. It's just what happens, and you should be able to read it here rather than find it out the hard way. Both app pages go into more detail, including the parts the App Store listings don't document at all.
